NWA plays a key leadership role in workforce development. Insightful workforce practitioners recognize the value of shaping the future, instead of waiting for it to direct them. NWA gives you the opportunity to be a part of a powerful network that is constantly growing. Our input and first-hand knowledge is actively sought by policy makers at the national level, whose resources can help us all achieve success. We promote innovation and excellence in locally based workforce programs through our annual conference, special legislative briefings, training sessions, publications and peer-to-peer exchanges.

• NWA represents the singular effort to protect and enhance the local workforce system in both authorizing and the appropriation processes, the Workforce system is our core customer
• NWA works to educate Congress about Workforce system, educate the workforce system about Congress, and build WIA champions
