Events

The NWA holds one conference and several major legislative meetings annually. All of our conference and legislative events afford members the opportunity to learn and gather information to help improve the effectiveness of their workforce agencies. Education and networking are the two reasons you want to attend NWA's conference and meetings! Just ask other NWA members!

The annual legislative conference is the cornerstone event where NWA members can come together to elect new officers, and most importantly the NWA President and the CEO lay out the goals of the association for the next year. Attendees also participate in plenary sessions with leaders from Congress, nationally recognized think tanks, publications and more. Each Conference and Legislative meeting has its own personality and individual focus.

The conference is generally held on the first weekend in December. Early registration and sponsorship begins in June/July and continues through December. The 10th Annual Legislative Conference was held December 3-6, 2011, an agenda and photos can be found on the annual NWA conference tab.
